Talent Fund Information Session for Employers

Friday, August 10, 2018 - 8:30am

Lansing American Job Center

2110 S. Cedar Street
Lansing, MI 48910

The Going PRO Talent Fund (GPTF) ensures Michigan’s employers have the talent they need to compete and grow, and individuals have the skills they need for in-demand jobs. The GPTF provides competitive awards for training that enhances talent, productivity and employment retention while increasing the quality and competitiveness of Michigan’s employers. Collaboration between the Michigan Works! Agencies (MWAs), economic development and educational partners is essential to achieve demand-driven training that addresses talent shortages hampering the growth of Michigan’s industries.

Companies facing a critical issue for which training may be a solution are encouraged to apply for the GPTF this Fall. For the past couple years, the state of Michigan approved several million dollars to reimburse employers through this fund for training their workers.  Dozens of companies in all industry clusters in our region applied and were awarded funds.

ANY COMPANY THAT PLANS TO APPLY FOR THE GPTF AND HAVE CAPITAL AREA MICHIGAN WORKS! SUBMIT THEIR APPLICATION TO THE STATE MUST ATTEND AN INFORMATION SESSION
